A message from Mark Trethewey: “I love scripture songs. We are told in Colossians 3:15 that we are to sing hymns, psalms and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts. I have memorized many scripture texts using scripture songs. The scripture stays in your mind and in your heart too. Children love to sing these scripture songs and the songs make it so easy for them to learn the scripture verses. There is such a wealth of promises and comfort in scripture. “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart” is a scripture song that I love to share with people who are suffering from a loss or burdened by discouragement. “And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory” is another promise that so richly locks in our knowledge that God will take care of us.”
